Important safety warning: bodysuits

Although we design all our product with utmost care and attention, a few pieces of art. 663906 and 663908 have recently be found to have longer cords than considered safe by EU norms. Bodysuits with too long cords are being recalled for repair.

EU safety norms instruct that the cords on these articles can be considered safe when they measure no longer than 14 cm. When cords are longer, they could potentially reach the neck are and pose a risk of strangulation.

Luckily none of such incidents are known with us, but of course quality and safety are our number one priority. Therefore we are recalling and repairing pieces with cords that measure longer than 14 cm.

The pieces found have article numbers 663906 and 663908, sold in and after the second half of 2020. But possibly longer cords may also occur in similar models with numbers 663907, 663917 and 663920. For article 663908 we furthermore want to emphasize that this product is designed to be daywear, and not to be used as a sleeping bag!

If you own such article(s), please urgently check if the length of the cords do not exceed 14 cm. If they are longer, or when in doubt, stop using the product immediately and please get in touch with us via info@philandphae.com with subject ‘warning bodysuits’ for further instructions to get your product repaired.
